Terms of Service

Last updated July 25, 2026

The short version

Memoir lets you turn your photos into a printed album. Your photos stay yours; we only use them to provide the service. Printed albums are made to order just for you, so they can’t be returned for a change of mind — but if your book arrives damaged or misprinted, we’ll make it right. The details follow.

1. Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Memoir (“we”, “us”), a service operated from France. By creating an account or using the Memoir app or website (memoirprint.com), you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. Questions: support@memoirprint.com.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google or Apple account and must be at least 15 years old (or the age of digital consent where you live). You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service; you can stop using Memoir and ask us to delete your account at any time.

3. Your photos and content

Everything you add to Memoir — photos, titles, captions — remains yours. So that the service can work, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, copy, resize, and process your content, including with automatic arranging, and to render and transmit it to our print partner — solely to provide the service to you. This license ends when your content is deleted from our systems.

You’re responsible for what you upload: you confirm you have the right to use the photos you add, and that they contain nothing unlawful. We don’t review your albums, but we may remove content and refuse print orders that we’re required to by law.

If you create a share link, anyone who has the link can view that album. Share responsibly.

4. Automatic arranging

  • Automatic arranging is free, currently up to 5 runs per account per day. We may change or remove the daily limit, or reintroduce paid plans, at any time.
  • If an arrange run fails on our side, it doesn’t count against your daily limit.
  • Any credits previously earned through promotions or referrals have no cash value, aren’t transferable, and can’t be exchanged for money.
  • Arranging proposes an album from your photos. Review it before ordering — you can edit anything it did.

5. Printed albums and payment

Prices, sizes, and shipping costs are shown at checkout, which is handled by our secure payment processor. Your album is printed by a professional print partner and shipped to the address you give at checkout. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees.

Check your album before ordering. Your book is printed exactly from the pages you approved. Because each album is personalized and made to order, the legal right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply (in the EU, per Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and Directive 2011/83/EU) — orders can’t be cancelled or returned once printing has started.

If your album arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what you ordered, contact us at support@memoirprint.com within 30 days of delivery and we’ll reprint or refund it. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory warranties as a consumer.

6. What we promise — and don't

We work hard to keep Memoir available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”: we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and you should keep your own copies of your photos — Memoir is not a backup service.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.

7. Changes to the service or these terms

Memoir is young and evolving — features may change, improve, or be retired. If we make material changes to these terms, we’ll update the date at the top and notify you in the app or by email; continuing to use Memoir after that means you accept the new terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. If you’re a consumer in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in, and disputes can be brought before the courts of that country. The European Commission’s online dispute-resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

9. Privacy

How we handle your data — your account, your photos, your orders — is described in our Privacy Policy.
